The
Military Trail entered Nemaha County in section 12 of 4-12 later
named Granada Township traveled a little over two miles north by
northwest and entered Capioma Township. I have been told that the
Pony Express first station in Nemaha County was at Granada.
I have seen no documents of this as of this day. Later it was
said to be at the Log Chain Ranch. The Log Chain Ranch
was some distance from the trail as you will see Capioma Township.
Dr. Sam Murdock built this up in his time and there are likely no
remains of building of the 1861 present today. See Remains of the
