My Name is Ken Stallbaumer.  I was on the Nemaha County Historical Society Board until August 30, 2007 at which time I was voted off by the Board. This was accomplished in a very illegal manner  and for unjust reasons which I will try to explain in this letter. 

 I am experienced in data processing,  WebPages,  and photo editing.  I have used the computer since the 70's.  I was first to download a copy of the museum  PastPerfect in 2006.  I took care of the computer in 2006 until  May 9, 2007 when I turned it over to Dean Rial under what I considered unusual circumstances. The big thing at that time was that  the computer files were in very bad shape and some of the reports showed many errors, unattached photos, too many Large photos  Duplicate files. etc  With the advise of first Jennessa Reed of PastPerfect and later Brian Gomez VP of the same were attempting to correct them.  I wanted to stop adding item and get some help or training to correct this problem.  DarlAnn Rial was editing the Authority files and she was changing the names  these files often and this was orphaning the previous entries under that accession and they would not come up on the search (query).  This was bad but not the worst as the worst was they were being deleted also.  

Another problem is the 30,800.00 grant to repair the porch on the Jail. The message we received was that it was not necessary for any of the board to attend the opening of bids. This sent up a red flag in my mind as I was not even sure we had approved what was taking place. Had this been approved? I was the only board member to attend the meeting,       Click here

As I stated above the files were in bad shape and three of us were attempting to correct them as directed by two of the persons from PastPerfect Help Desk   Link to e-mail  of  Jennessa Reeds  and    Link to e-mail of  Brian Gomez VP both of PastPerfect.

 I wanted to stop adding items and fix the Location Authority Files as recommended PastPerfect. This was causing some stress at NCHS.     An e-mail of DarlAnn Rial tells the story.  This e-mail below says "We all have generally agreed that we would finish the accessioning the archives in the library and annex II before we started accessioning the artifacts (three-dimensional items) ….and before we move to make final adjustments to the Past Perfect program."    See e-mail

I believe that the word "final adjustment" meant was the solution but at that time it was a start. We were to learn from two computer crashes  and one to tell how bad it was, When they returned the minutes are all sunshine and roses. It was not to long before their  attorney had me voted off without a chance to see the accuser of defend myself. The thing that really did it good was my wife passed away and I wanted to get equipment to teach software use and it was changed so often that at one time there were no more than 10 t0 20 attacked to the present Authority. This also caused the many Bar code to have no Home address Click here

They put me off the board and her husband, Dean on the board so every one stays in line. They also purchased a software for web pages which I was to operate and I could and would not unless the main computer software was better shape.

I put computer snapshots of  the deleted files on the  web page and got their attention.  I was of the understanding we were to work something out. What happened is that Ken Stallbaumer was worked out.  See link to Executive Board minute below.

They acquired a local attorney and dreamed up some charges  that I do not obey  I do not intend to obey something that is illegal.  I see something wrong and  I debate the idea or matter or see that it is corrected.

On August 14, 2007 there was an unscheduled  meeting, and did not invite me. I caught them at this.  This was likely to have been the planning of my removal, however, I was there.   See  Aug  14 2007 Minutes 

On August 24, 2007 the so called "Executive Board meet to have a security meeting.  This was because I would come in after hours or before hours as DarlAnn Rial was impossible to work with. See Executive Board Meeting  Minutes
